Accessibility
Equal access to care and information for every patient
U Surgical Centre is committed to providing a welcoming, barrier-free experience for every patient, family member, and visitor — both at our facilities and on this website. We are committed to meeting our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Our Commitment
We strive to ensure that people with disabilities are treated with dignity and independence, and that they have equal opportunity to access our care and information. We integrate accessibility into how we plan our services, train our team, and communicate with patients.
Website Accessibility
This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, including readable typography and colour contrast, descriptive text for images, keyboard navigability, and clear page structure. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
Accessible Facilities
Our surgical locations are designed to support patients with a range of needs, with accessible entry and free on-site parking. If you have specific accessibility requirements for your visit, please let us — or your referring specialist’s office — know in advance so we can prepare.
Accessible Customer Service
In keeping with the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), our team is trained to communicate in ways that take each person’s accessibility needs into account, and to support the use of assistive devices, service animals, and support persons.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our care, facilities, and website. Please contact U Surgical Centre at info@usurgicalcentre.ca or (416) 292-0077. We will respond as promptly as possible and use your feedback to improve.
