Where your procedure takes place
An ambulatory surgical centre is a licensed, accredited facility designed for same-day surgery. You arrive, have your procedure, recover, and go home the same day — no hospital admission. Since 2010, U Surgical Centre has been one of Ontario’s established ophthalmic ambulatory surgical facilities, operating across two locations in the Greater Toronto Area.
U Surgical Centre provides the operating rooms, nursing team, anaesthesia, and surgical support. Your surgery itself is performed by your own specialist from Uptown Eye Specialists or U Eye Laser Cosmetic. We don’t book or sell procedures — we are the calm, accredited environment where the plan you’ve already made with your specialist comes to life.
U Surgical Centre is a support facility within the U Vision Group network. If you haven’t yet been referred, your first step is a consultation with a specialist — we’ll help connect you to the right one.

Our facility, equipment, protocols, and staff undergo regular independent inspection and re-accreditation through Accreditation Canada, on behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Health.

Strict aseptic technique, instrument sterilisation, and environmental controls between every case — the standards that keep ophthalmic surgery exceptionally safe.
Ready for anything
On-site resuscitation equipment, an anaesthesia team trained in emergency response, and established hospital transfer protocols. Serious complications in routine eye surgery are very rare.
